The second dream took place in the same parking lot. Again there were no cars, and that struck me as odd. But this time there was a huge wind blowing against me as I walked towards the little plants I'd noticed. They weren't there, at least not as I'd seen them before. I wanted to ask where they'd gone, but there was no one to ask.
Lately I've had three very vivid recurring dreams. The last one I believe was actually the final episode in the series, and it left me feeling amazed at the detail, disturbed at my post-dream feelings, and completely puzzled because I couldn't relate it in any way to real-life events.
Here goes. The first dream I starred in took place in a parking lot. It was marked with the spaces, but there were no cars. |
The finale
I returned to the parking lot. At some distance away I could see three trees growing up right through the parking lot surface. Two of them were apple trees, full of apples. I saw them so distinctly...I could even see some dark spots on some of them.
I was then attracted by the third tree. It was bigger, and laden with fruit. I couldn't quite see what they were. One of the fruits had dropped to the ground. I picked it up, and noticed it was skeletonized, like a leaf you sometimes see after winter. It was a pear of some type I'd never seen before.
Absorbed looking at this, I didn’t notice things were happening to the trees. Some guys had arrived with a big machine that quickly sawed right through the two apple trees. I started to run towards them, pleading that they wouldn’t destroy it too, but I was too late. Only stumps were left.
I woke up, thinking gratefully that at least I still had the pear. But of course, I didn’t. It was only a dream.
The vividness of this dream has stayed with me. Do you have any ideas on what it might mean?
