One proverb that has stuck relentlessly in my mind over the years is “procrastination is the thief of time.” Oh yes, it really is, and I tend to be one of the guilty ones. It's not my fault, you see, it's the speed of the weeks that have gone by!
So that's the first different thing this fall and winter. Second thing is to immediately get fall cleanup going in the garden. That's a big task, but well worth it, as you remember those beautiful days of flower, fruit and veggie production. The beans are still being harvested but their rate to maturity has slowed, and there's a limpness to their leaves as they struggle in the the cool night temperatures.
