Starbucks is always great for inspiration! These two beautiful, friendly barristas gave a 'to go' toast to this page! Thank you, Devon (left) and Shauna-Rae (right).
To add insult to injury, the men also get twice as much product in their roll-ons. That's not fair. Senses awakened, I continued snooping. Guess what? In every product I looked at, making gender comparisons, the men pay lower prices across the board.
Shampoos--they pay way less.
So, I'm going to start pushing back.
I'm going to insist I want a men's haircut. Men of course wear their hair just like women a lot of the time. They just don't pay like women.
I believe this huge gender pricing disparity has been outlawed in California, so if you live there presumably you don't have to worry about it. Same in New York. But the rest of us (women) pay and pay, every time we get a product marketed to men and women.
We need to approach our local politicians and put a stop to this outrageous nonsense. It's pushback time for me. If California and New York have managed to stop this practice, it's time for the rest of us to follow suit.
I can't wait for my next haircut.
