Strange, isn't it, how those simple seven days in a week can bring about changes in your own life, and then in the bigger picture of global events too? The weeks flash by at an ever increasing speed as you grow older.
In my childhood I can remember the sheer length of days, and how it was a welcome relief to go to bed and have a blissful sleep. Now the whole thing is reversed! The days go by so fast they affect my short term memory. |
Sometimes I think it must be because I now have such daily appreciation of each day that comes. For one thing I can get up. Lots of people aren't so fortunate. Then there's the whole joy of being able to choose what needs to be done around the house and garden. There are thoughts about my dear family, and gratitude that they are doing well in their lives. I love my friends too, and feel such appreciation that I know they are there, somewhere, and still care about me, even though I find it hard to keep up with them as I should.
Good days this week
On Tuesday, and now today, a strange bright light appeared in the sky. It had been so long since the sun was last seen, I'd almost forgotten that there was anything but rain in our days. So that's a brilliant day to start the Easter weekend.
Bad days this week
Sometimes you think the world situation just couldn't get any worse. But I have a feeling there have been many times folks have thought just the same thing. On a beautiful blue-sky morning,my plan is to get outside and keep on working in the garden.
Thanks for reading, and may you have a lovely, joyous Easter weekend.
