I often wonder whether other people are with my feelings on this, or whether it's just my restless “let's see what’s round the next corner” approach! I so enjoy doing new things, and I find it's always good to step out of the box and go elsewhere. Often it doesn't even matter where that is. But, it's important just to go. |
Let’s go!
Not everyone is in a position to drop everything and take off when they think of it. Various other factors come into play. Children can't be left alone, pets have to be looked after, other family members must be considered. And then there’s the case of your own mobility. These can all be real downers, even crushers, and it needs careful thought to accomplish the exercise of removing yourself from the box. More about that later.
My mission today is to take you with me. I'm on one of my box-breaker trips at the moment. Oh, it's nothing exotic, or out-of-the-world, but I just love the difference of reconnecting with the family, hearing their stories, understanding how I might continue in the best possible way to be a helpful family member to them, even though they're at a distance. That's one thing. Another is that I had a couple of appointments here, so I needed to be here! Can't get much better than that.
Eye things
Twenty years?! Unbelievable. I must have entrusted my eye to a child! And here he is again, still just as gorgeous, probably 50 times wiser. Dr. Blaylock is so enthusiastic about his work, and again, how he's able to appreciate the differences he finds each day. It's things like this that make you realise those are the salt and peppers in life - change puts the spice in life, whether we see the benefits of it at the time or not. So here you can meet my surgeon in one of his videos!
Best wishes for your efforts to create change and excitement for yourself.
