Analyzing what you've lost
I'm a firm believer in constant evaluation of whatever life you happen to live.
In the whole scheme of things all our lives seem too short, so it's good to know where you fit in at whatever stage it is, and how YOU plan to change things if you don't like where you are at now. |
- It gently brings all things into a new perspective
- It helps you rate where you are on the happiness scale *
- And that helps you either set new goals, (or smirk a little if you're truly happy and just relax.)
This time last year, I felt my life was in severe crisis
I guess you could call it downsizing!
Moving was a big shock. I was crushed, but made the best of what I now considered was a terrible decision.
I kept a brave face, but didn't realize the importance of the mind, body and spirit connection at the time. I shed many tears and there was a dull ache in my heart that wouldn't go away. No matter how hard I pretended to myself that I was happy, my bliss in life was gone. I developed health problems. It was a story of grief all over again. |
Evaluation was key to recovery
My personal evaluation on the happiness scale indicated that the thing most traumatic for me to endure was the loss of my garden. It was dubbed "The garden of Eden" by friends and even the realtor who sold it!
I had managed to re-create very small parts of it in the new home, but somehow that didn't cut it! During the evaluation of my situation I was able to focus more objectively on how I would rediscover my bliss. |
So, with the loving support of my understanding husband, I'm still in the process of creating, but looking at that happiness scale again, and I've done it!
The bliss is back! I have new friends here, and I know the others can stay in touch.
It's really so helpful to know what you need, and sometimes you have to work hard to get it, but visions can become reality if you want them enough. It seems like a long road, and at times it is, but you can do it.
Like dominoes, once you get one part solved (getting something done about the the that really drags you down) the rest will follow!
I'm re discovering my bliss, and here's a little tour of the our new vegetable garden to explain what I mean.
